Aida Mahmulyin started her life journey in Europe and moved to the United States in 1994 while still in high school. She lived with multiple host families in California, Virginia and Washington where she had a unique opportunity to truly learn and practice many aspects of American culture by being a part of real American family while also practicing parts of her own native culture. Before Aida moved to the United States she completed one year of high school in Turkey acquiring yet another cultural influence and fluency in another language. In 2001 Aida graduated from the University of Washington majoring dance and teaching methodologies. Even before graduation Aida started teaching preschoolers and she has been doing that to this day. Aida possesses very unique ability to understand and communicate with young children like no adult I have ever seen before. Given Aida's background it is not surprising that her school is putting a lot of emphasis on teaching multiculturalism in todays globalized World, all-inclusiveness and physical movement. Aida strongly believes that preschool is the foundation of future development and early introductions of some of these aspects, social skills and different arts and sciences can have a profound influence that will last for lifetime. Seeing children bloom in their learning and creativity gives me energy to keep working in this intense profession, says Aida.
